Teaching the proper firearms fundamentals and care for handling firearms. Helping you be a protector.
Hello my name is Brian McCollum and I'm the owner of Blueberry Tactical & Training LLC. Originally from West Georgia I've lived in South Georgia for 15 years after my career in Law Enforcement in Florida and Georgia where I worked as a patrolman, Field Training Officer, certified Police Instructor and taught on the department level and in the police academy.
I served in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman, and worked in law enforcement in both Florida and Georgia for 18 years. I'm married and have 3 beautiful daughters I'd do anything for. The protection of my family is why I want to help others protect themselves, their families, their employees and places of worship and produce responsibly armed Citizens to be confident in using a firearm. I am a USCCA (United States Concealed Carry Association) certified firearms instructor in several different areas.
We encourage you to have your firearm already when taking these classes, but at some of our ranges there are firearms available to be rented. Our training is sponsored by one of the best programs available, the USCCA(United States Concealed Carry Association).
LEARN, TRAIN, & SURVIVE!
At Blueberry Tactical we strive to give you the basic firearms training to handle your pistol in a safe and proficient manner. We give you the tools to be able to defend yourself, your family, and your home. Our instruction will give you the building blocks to advance and improve your firearms handling. All training is given by a certified USCCA instructor.
Even though the State of Georgia doesn't require a certification course to get your Weapons Carry License (Concealed permit), we recommend you take a concealed carry course to be a trained and responsibly armed citizen to protect yourself and family. The USCCA Concealed Carry Course is a comprehensive course for anyone considering carrying a firearm for self-defense. This course includes both classroom and range components, using a training gun to develop point-shooting skills in the classroom and culminates with live fire on the range. This course covers the following topics: develop your own personal protection plan; understand conflict avoidance; situational awareness; understanding of the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a guide to gear and gadgets.
This class is for the true beginner or one who hasn't shot in a long time. We cover the universal safety rules, proper grip, stance and sight alignment, How a gun works, what is ammo, gear and gadgets, and proper cleaning.
If you haven't taken time to keep fresh on your firearms skills, you are likely to lose your skills, just like riding a bike. We can provide you a refresher to bring your skills back up to speed and build a program for you to advance in your confidence and proficiency.
This course is built for women, not because they are incapable of learning, but they often think and learn differently. The five goals are to: PROVIDE a welcoming, knowledgeable and supportive instructional environment; SHARE the importance of firearms safety, ownership and training; EMPOWER you with the knowledge, skills and confidence required to use a handgun safely and proficiently; BUILD the number of responsibly armed women; and ENCOURAGE you to get out of your comfort zone, to adopt the correct mindset for personal protection and to train and practice regularly. This class is taught in 3 segments; Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced portions.
Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive USCCA course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun, shotgun and AR-15 basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training and firearms training.
This is a non-shooting class, informative setting.
We offer individualized training to help you hone your skills or maybe you aren't quite ready for a classroom setting training. We will work with groups in helping to meet their desired training goals also. For more information give us a call or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
In this class, you’ll review an analysis of data gathered from 48 mass shootings that have occurred since Columbine, to determine what can be learned from these tragedies, including whether a reduction in magazine capacity or the banning of any class of firearm would have changed the outcome. You'll also learn whether “gun-free” zones figure into the planning of these mass murderers; whether victim response at any mass shooting has made a difference; and whether “universal background checks” or other proposals by gun control advocates stand a chance of stemming the current trajectory of these shootings. This course summarizes this data with a comprehensive plan designed to eliminate the scourge of these shooters once and for all.
USCCA has taken the FEMA Active Shooter curriculum, and updated and improved its precepts. In the 'Church Safety: Protecting your Congregation' course, we not only teach you responses to this threat, but also suggest a plan to eliminate the scourge of these shooters, once and for all. Together, in this 'Church Safety: Protecting your Congregation course,' we will analyze data gathered from mass shootings that have occurred, to determine what can learned from these tragedies, including whether a reduction in magazine capacity or the banning of any class of firearm would have changed the outcome. Michael Martin, author of this book, also looks at whether “gun-free” zones figure into the planning of these mass murderers; whether victim response at any mass shooting has made a difference; and whether “universal background checks” or other proposals by gun control advocates stand a chance of stemming the current trajectory of these shootings.
All classes will require full payment at the time of registering. To cancel your class for full refund it must be done 48 hours prior to the start of the class by email, email@example.com.
